(Orland Hills) Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School is proud to announce MaryClare Leonard (CJB Class of 2013), as the Class of 2017 Salutatorian at Marist High School in Chicago, Illinois.

Salutatorian Maryclare Leonard is the daughter of Tom and Marian Leonard of Tinley Park, graduated from Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School in 2013 and is a parishioner at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Church. Leonard plans to attend The University of Notre Dame.
Along with the honor of Salutatorian, Maryclare received an award for Academic Excellence in Technology and the Faculty Award. Maryclare’s mom, Marian Leonard stated, “The award that touched my heart the most was the final one of the night. In Brother Hank’s word-it is the highest honor Marist bestows on a female and male Senior- the Faculty Award for scholarship, devotedness, leadership, judgment and personality.” Mrs. Leonard also added, “THANK YOU, THANK YOU to CJB for instilling in Maryclare the honor of hard work and the values of our faith. We are forever grateful.”
