Introducing CJB Virtual Cardinal’s Carnival 

With Covid-19 restrictions, we have started to think outside the box on continuing to raise funds to benefit the school. The CJB Development Committee has started a new creative virtual fundraiser via Facebook that has has been very successful for the school. We look forward to continually watching it grow and including as many friends and family as possible! 

So how does the CJB Cardinal’s Carnival work?

The games are all run through a private Facebook Group that anyone can join. Search “Cardinal’s Carnival Virtual Games to benefit CJB” on Facebook and click “request to join group”. After you are accepted, the fun begins!

Throughout each day, “items” will be posted – each item will start a new game. Items can include gift cards, a Dyson vacuum, a Yeti cooler, a Lego set – just to name a few. We have a wide range of items posted each day that appeal to any and all ages!

Once the item is posted, the game begins! There are typically 25 “lines” and each “line” costs a certain amount. The rules are posted clearly on each game, so let’s take our first “game” as an example:

The “item” was a $500 Amazon Gift Card. 

The rules of the game were:

25 Lines at $25/line

To enter the game and claim your line, you must comment “me” on the post. The first 25 comments or “lines” now have a chance to win the $500 Amazon Gift Card. 

By commenting “me” you have entered yourself into the game and will need to Venmo @ cardinalcarnival your payment of $25 (cost of your “line”) by 12 pm the next day, otherwise, your line will be forfeited. When all 25 lines have been filled, the game will close.

The group averages about 2 games per day with the potential to increase games as the group grows.

The CJB Development Committee draws the winners of the games every Tuesday & Thursday live on Facebook! If you win the game but miss the live Facebook drawing, we will also tag you on Facebook to let you know you’ve won and an email will be sent on how to claim the prize.

How do I get involved?

The easiest way to get involved is to join the group and participate! The more the merrier, so please invite your friends and family to join in the fun, too! We are also accepting item donations so if you have something you’d like to donate, please contact the CJB Development Committee.  

I don’t have Facebook, but I would like to be involved. What are my options?

We would still love for you to be a part of the Cardinal’s Carnival, even if you don’t have a Facebook account! We are always looking for volunteers to help look for great prize ideas online, help organize prize pick-ups, track payments, and help the group run smoothly behind the scenes. Donating an item would also be a great way to participate in the fundraiser without logging onto Facebook.
