I come from a family of teachers, so it only seemed natural for me to become one too. After graduating from the University of Illinois, I taught in public junior high/middle schools for seven years. Then, I took a thirteen year maternity leave to stay at home and raise my four children, who are now all proud graduates of CJB. Becoming a member of the CJB family as a Pre-K teacher in 2013 was a great moment in my life. I am proud and consider myself lucky to be a member of this dynamic group of educators. While it has been exhilarating and sometimes chaotic going back and forth between teaching Pre-K and junior high, I wake up every day grateful that I am part of something big. I am enjoying my eighteenth year of teaching and cannot wait to see what else is on the teaching horizon for me. My strength comes from my family, friends, and students, to name a few. My greatest strength comes from my faith in Jesus.
