In order to fully participate as a volunteer, parents must take the time to complete the Safe Environment compliance requirements put forth by the Archdiocese of Chicago for volunteers. (Employees have additional requirements.) We realize these steps are time-consuming on your part. Likewise, the processing of these requirements is time-consuming on the part of the Archdiocese and on CJB. HOWEVER, all of these steps and time spent work to ensure the safety of all students. And that is of the ultimate importance.
Before anyone may volunteer at CJB, the completion and processing of ALL steps is required. It is vitally important that once you begin this process, you should complete all of the steps within a day or two. Schools and parishes are frequently required to INACTIVATE accounts that are not completed. Once inactivated, it is likely that you will not be reactivated for a period of weeks to months.
